Failing can be part of a business. It is how you adapt and change for the better that makes your business stronger. Thursday the Lawrence County CEO class toured Whittaker Beef. Jim Gardner and Eric White, two of the three owners spoke to the class about how they started their business. It was interesting to hear how they managed the business during the COVID era. In fact they learned a few things during that time. Jim and Eric emphasized that it is ok to fail. Learn from your failures, pick yourself up and never give up. Be ready to pivot in business. You will find yourself in positions you must pivot and adopt new practices or possibly take the business in a slightly different direction. Last, they talked about making connections with other businesses. Work together to help you both succeed. Great words for our students as they are working hard on their individual businesses. Thank you Whittaker Beef for a great visit.
