Last Thursday Wabash General Hospital (WGH) hosted the Lawrence County CEO class. Karissa Turner, President/CEO, Danielle Stevens, Executive VP of Business Development and Foundation/CMO and Andrew Kleinschmidt, VP Professional Services shared some great advise with the class. Karissa talked a bit about her journey and shared some great points
—Prepare yourself for your speech. Speak from the heart. Your audience will feel your connection to your subject matter.
—Take opportunities to speak. While many are not comfortable speaking in front of people it is important to take opportunities to promote your business.
—Take the risk. This risk will pay dividends. Step outside your comfort zone. No risk no reward.
—Surround yourself with good people. Good leaders are not threatened by others who might be smarter than they may be. Building your team with those individuals will help your organization achieve great things.
—You can learn any skill. Remember You bring a special skilll to the table. Use your skills, never stop learning and expand your knowledge base. Be that team member that is willing to take on new responsibilities. Taking those risks will yield rewards.
We want thank Karissa, Danielle and Andrew for sharing some great advise and for a great tour of their facility. We are happy to have Wabash General Hospital in Lawrence County.
